In New Jersey’s rolling plains, this residence explores the dialogue between modern American living and European design sensibility. The project began with strong architectural bones - connected A-frame structures with dark metal roofing - but required interiors that could match this contemporary presence while adding warmth and functionality. The basement renovation became an exercise in elevated living. Travertine and steam meet in a spa-like hammam, while a dedicated Pilates studio brings wellness home.
Alta House
The movie theater and recreation lounge—complete with a pool table and kitchenette—create intentional spaces for gathering and entertainment. Rich velvet drapery and dark-toned finishes enhance acoustic performance while setting a cinematic atmosphere. Layered lighting and deep, lounge-style seating make the room immersive and inviting.
A serene office defined by natural travertine, warm wood cabinetry, and soft, diffused lighting that enhances the texture of every surface. Integrated shelving and a sculptural desk bring both elegance and quiet functionality to the space.
This Pilates studio was designed for a renowned celebrity Pilates instructor, combining state-of-the-art equipment with a warm, architectural atmosphere. Custom millwork niches, soft integrated lighting, and mirrored walls create a space that feels both luxurious and performance-driven. Neutral tones and tactile materials elevate the environment into a calm, focused training sanctuary.
Curved upholstery, textured fabrics, and fluted wood elements bring depth and softness to the bedroom’s design language. The palette of natural tones is elevated by a floating vanity and illuminated shelving, adding structure without visual weight. The combination of warm materials and sculptural forms creates a serene, highly intentional environment.
